Before you start
Turn on Publish the booking page in InnRow. The widget uses it, so it shows nothing until the page is live.
Steps in the block editor
- Copy the line. In InnRow, open Settings → Booking page → Add booking to your own website and click Copy next to the style you want: a Book now button, a dates-and-guests bar or the full booking form.
- Open the page in WordPress. Go to Pages, open the page where guests should book (often Home or Rooms) and click Edit.
- Add a Custom HTML block. Click the + where the widget should go, type "Custom HTML" and pick the block.
- Paste the line. It looks like this, with your property's address in it:
<script src="https://app.innrow.com/embed.js" data-innrow="your-property" data-mode="inline" async></script>
- Preview, then Update. The block shows only code in the editor; the widget appears in the preview and on the live page.
Other editors
- Classic editor: switch to the Text tab (not Visual) and paste the line where the widget should appear.
- Elementor: drag the HTML widget onto the page and paste the line into it.
- A button in your menu or header: give your theme's existing button the attribute
data-innrow-open="your-property", and keep one widget line on the same page. Clicking the button then opens the booking pop-up.
If nothing appears
| What you see | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The line disappears when you save | Your WordPress plan or a security plugin strips scripts | On WordPress.com, check that your plan allows custom code. Otherwise, link a normal button to your booking page address instead |
| An empty space | The booking page isn't published | Turn on Publish the booking page in InnRow |
| Nothing on one site only | You listed allowed websites in InnRow and this address isn't one of them | Add the address under Websites allowed to show the booking widget |
| An old version of the page | A caching plugin | Clear the cache in your caching plugin |
Count bookings in Google Analytics
The widget sends innrow_search and innrow_request events to your site's Google Tag Manager or Analytics. Mark innrow_request as a key event to see which pages and ads bring booking requests.
Quick answers
Do I need a plugin for the InnRow widget?
No. A Custom HTML block is part of WordPress. Paste the one-line widget code into it.
Will it slow my WordPress site down?
The line loads asynchronously, so the rest of your page doesn't wait for it.
Can I change the button text and colour?
Yes. Add data-label="Check availability" or data-color="#BA492E" to the line.
