How we compared
We looked at what a homestay owner in India actually needs, and at published prices. We make InnRow, so we have tried to be fair: where another tool is a better fit, we say so. Prices and details below come from the listed public sources, checked in October 2026. Vendors change prices often; check their sites before deciding.
| What matters | Why |
|---|---|
| One calendar for every source | Calls, WhatsApp and walk-ins cause most double bookings, not the booking sites |
| Room locking | The software should refuse a second booking for a taken night |
| Booking-site sync | Calendar sync is fine for two or three sites; a channel manager suits many sites and frequent price changes |
| GST and Form C | Indian paperwork should be built in |
| Phone first | Most homestays are run from a phone |
| Price | A small property shouldn't pay hotel prices |
The options
| Tool | Best for | Listed price | Booking sites |

Our picks
- Best for a family homestay with 1 to 6 rooms: InnRow. Simple, phone first, GST and Form C built in, free for 2 rooms and a flat ₹999 a month for up to 6.
- Best if you sell on five or more sites and change prices daily: a channel-manager-led tool such as AxisRooms, DJUBO or eZee with its channel manager.
- Best full PMS for a hotel with a front office team: eZee Absolute.
- Best for technical hosts who want maximum control cheaply: Beds24.
Before you buy
- Count where your bookings come from. If most arrive by phone and WhatsApp, the calendar matters more than the channel manager.
- Try the software on your phone for a week during the free trial or on a free plan.
- Check the total monthly price for your room count, including add-ons and GST.
- Ask how you get your data out if you leave.

Questions people ask
What is the best homestay management software in India?
It depends on size and how you sell. For an owner-run homestay with 1 to 6 rooms that takes many bookings by phone and WhatsApp, a simple phone-first tool with room locking and calendar sync, such as InnRow, fits best. Properties selling on many sites with frequent price changes need a channel manager.
Is there free homestay management software?
Yes. InnRow is free for up to 2 rooms, including room locking and calendar sync with booking sites, and SyncStays has a free plan. Most other tools offer only a free trial.
Do I need a channel manager for a homestay?
Usually not for two or three booking sites. Calendar sync is enough for most small homestays. See iCal sync vs a channel manager.
