Which to choose
- A homestay with 1 or 2 rooms that also sells on Airbnb or Booking.com: InnRow, because the free plan also keeps those sites in step and locks each night.
- A UK B&B that wants card payments taken online today: freetobook, with its card payments add-on.
- One holiday let with no booking sites: Sirvoy's free plan or InnRow's both work.
- A brand-new website with templates and online payment: Lodgify, if a monthly fee is fine.
What a booking engine can't do alone
A booking engine takes requests; it doesn't stop the same room being sold on Booking.com and on the phone. If you sell anywhere else, the booking engine must read the same calendar as everything else. In InnRow it does, which is why the page can't offer a taken room. Questions hosts ask
Is there a free booking engine with no commission?
Yes. InnRow (up to 2 rooms), freetobook and Sirvoy (1 room) all offer a free booking engine with no commission on direct bookings. Each has limits; see the table above.
Can guests pay online with InnRow's free booking page?
Not yet. Guests send a request and you collect the advance your usual way. Online payment is the next feature being built.
Do I need a website to use a booking engine?
Not with InnRow. Each property gets its own booking page at app.innrow.com/stays/your-property/, which you can link from Google Maps and Instagram.
